Meet Our Team
Gillian Robinson
Founder, RN, BN, Lead Auditor, Author
HCSL began when Gillian was being called on repeatedly to perform statutory management roles in aged care services that had received serious complaints and were deemed to be failing those in their care. Gillian could see there was a better way than being the ‘ambulance’ at the bottom of the hill and sought to create solutions for aged care services which guided them in better service while verifying compliance to meet their audit requirements.
With over 30 years’ experience as a health professional, Gillian understands the need of those in the aged care boardroom and the resident bedroom!
Gillian is also the author of the book “Excellence in Residential Care: a guide for managers and nurses”, Registered Nurse and Lead Auditor. Edition two is in writing phase as at March 2024… watch this space for updates on publication!
Gillian has developed a solid reputation in the residential care as the ‘go to’ person for understanding and meeting compliance requirements. She is well placed to support you on your journey in aged care compliance. Having served on the New Zealand Aged Care Association – Nursing Leadership Group for two and a half years, Gillian continues to thrive on supporting the aged care sector to be better than before.
Gillian likes to balance work life by enjoying time reading, travelling and large-scale gardening.

Leeanne Richards
Administration Assistant
I have joined HCSL with over 25years experience in office administration roles for various industries and have a special interest in digital systems.
I enjoy supporting others internally and externally and look forward to providing excellent service to HCSL clients.
Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with our daughter and retro-doodle dog. I like hanging out with close family and friends; going for walks, doing jigsaw puzzles, scrapbooking, card games and colouring in.
Dianne Deane
Accounts & Customer Support
Hi I’m Dianne, I have 40 plus years office administration expertise across a number of industries including a year for an aged care facility some time ago. As I get older, I find myself more & more interested in aged care. I have a lot of interest in her mother’s care and the realisation of how much support is required for her, is overwhelming at times. It is with excitement that I approach my new role with HCSL.
In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors, walking with family and a great group of friends (new and old) and pottering in my small ‘potted’ garden. I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, there is usually one on the go on my dining table at any one time. I love spending time with my family and I am an avid reader.
Vanessa de Silva

She has several years of administration experience, as well as 3 years working in management. She is highly creative and very personable. Her background in office management, insurance risk management, film and television production, provides her with a unique skill set, enabling her to be a very effective and proactive problem solver. Her passion for people and caring nature to help and support others, are attributes she brings to the team at HCSL. She is a mother to two beautiful young boys and loves spending time with her family and friends, walking in the hills, keeping fit and baking delicious treats.
Sumi Issac
Client Experience Manager
My passion for Aged Care and Health Informatics led me to HCSL giving me the opportunity to bring my specialist clinical knowledge and experience as a nurse to the team. As a Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Health Sciences Professional Practices (Nursing) in 2018, and over a decade working in the health sector and aged care services in NZ, I also have a special interest in Health Informatics and research. I look forward to bringing all of these to provide user-friendly solutions in my role as Client Experience Manager. When not busy looking after our older people, you will find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, or pursuing my favourite hobbies of reading and travelling with my family.
