HCSL began when Gillian was getting frustrated at being repeatedly called on to perform statutory management roles in aged care services which had received serious complaints and were deemed to be failing those in their care. Gillian could see there was a better way than being the 'ambulance' at the bottom of the hill and sought to create solutions for aged care services.
These solutions continue to evolve as aged care models of care change so those working in the sector can be guided to provide better service while verifying compliance to meet their audit requirements.
Established in 2004 by Founder & CEO Gillian Robinson, Gillian has over 30 years’ experience and is well recognised as an expert in compliance in the aged care and community health settings. Having worked in all possible roles within the aged residential care setting, as a Registered Nurse and Auditor, Gillian understands it’s not always easy to meet the compliance ‘mark’ come audit time.
From the bedside to the Board room, Gillian and the support team at HCSL are here to help reduce the stress and pressures of this demanding but very rewarding work.
